Mission

ImmersifyVR offers story-driven experiences that empower the elderly or the disabled to become physically active, enabling anyone to become the protagonist and overcome daily limitations.

Context

In 2010, around 29% of older adults living in assisted living facilities experienced some form of depression. A major contributor to this is a lack of regular exercise, which also significantly increases the risk of various chronic health issues.

The stark reality is that many older adults and individuals with disabilities face isolation, boredom, and limited opportunities for meaningful engagement. With 171 million active users worldwide in 2023, virtual reality platforms present a groundbreaking opportunity to address these challenges. Our goal is to provide interactive experiences that promote mental and physical well-being.

  • 818,000+people in the US living in assisted homes
  • 65% of nursing home residents’ time is spent inactive and alone
  • 75% of nursing home residents need assistance in multiple everyday activities
